Story

Hello friends and family,

As you all know we lost our beautiful son William to stillbirth two years ago. William suffered from what is known as a “true knot” - a knot in the umbilical cord was formed while Will was quite small and tightened as he grew, unfortunately in Wills case it was enough to cut off all blood, oxygen and nutrients to him in the womb resulting in his death right before the finish line. Unfortunately due to the very rare (less than 1% of pregnancies world wide) occurrence of a true knot, it was unable to be detected during routine scans.

From June 1st I will be raising funds for Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support ; a wonderful organisation that helps support families like ours, facing the loss of their precious babies. I know first hand what a horrible, uncertain time it can be and would love to give back to families facing the same. Baby loss - whether it be miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death affects more people than we realise - some who don’t even make it public and may not have a support network around them - which is why organisations like this are so important.

No matter how big or small the donation, every dollar will help 🫶🏻

Those that have known me for a while have seen me with a beard before and now you’re about to see why I stopped growing it - let’s just say that Santa will be making an early appearance this year. Please see my page below and any support would be greatly appreciated.
